The Croatian coast is where Yacht Week, Sail Croatia and a thousand independent charters base themselves every summer. Most of those boats come with a Bluetooth speaker the previous charter left behind and nothing else. The standard solution is “everyone brings something from home” — which means three travel speakers, two phones running over Bluetooth at the same time, and a deck that sounds like a bad airport.
PRC exists to fix that for a reasonable price.
What works on a boat
Battery-only. No mains, no extension cables, no shore power assumptions. The Bose S1 Pro+ runs 11 hours on a charge, charges overnight, and survives salt air better than any speaker in its price class. Pair two of them and you’ve got proper stereo across the deck.
Compact controllers. A Pioneer DDJ-FLX4 fits in a duffel, runs off USB, weighs 2kg. The whole “yacht DJ booth” is one bag. If nobody fancies babysitting an open laptop on a moving deck, the Denon DJ Prime Go+ is the standalone answer — it runs off its own battery with a screen instead of a laptop, which on a boat with no reliable shore power is the whole argument.
Wireless mics. Toasts, captain’s announcements, sunset karaoke. Underrated until you don’t have one. If the trip is also being filmed, the Rode Wireless GO II does a different job — two clip-on transmitters that record onboard, so the audio survives even when the receiver loses the link across the deck.
What doesn’t work on a boat
- Mains-powered PA systems. Half the marinas don’t have shore power where you’d want to set up, and the half that do don’t have enough amperage.
- Heavy lighting rigs. Movement on water + heavy gear = bad time.
- Anything with exposed electronics that can’t handle spray. Salt corrodes everything that isn’t sealed.

Logistics for charter-based rentals
We drop the gear at your marina the morning of departure. ACI Split, ACI Trogir, ACI Šibenik, ACI Dubrovnik — all standard for us. Pickup from the same marina at the end of your charter. Damage hold accounts for salt-air wear (it’s built in; not a surprise) — how the refundable hold and the collection work is worth reading before the skipper signs for the bags.
If your charter spans more than 7 days, ask about the multi-week rate before booking — we discount past the 7-day weekly flat.
