What actually changes.
The six categories are not marketing buckets — they sort out to genuinely different gear. Four things decide which page you want.
Power comes first
A yacht deck and a beach have no socket you are allowed to use, so both are battery-only and everything else follows from that. Villas and apartments do have power, but the one outdoor socket is on the house wall and the dance floor ends up thirty metres away — which is why most villa setups run battery anyway, or take a portable power station out to where the speakers are. The battery versus mains breakdown is worth reading before you commit to a big PA.
Then headcount, which is really distance
Up to about twenty people around a terrace or a deck, one battery speaker is enough. Twenty to sixty outdoors — a beach gathering, a full villa lawn — and the crowd makes its own noise floor, so it takes a bigger box or a stereo pair. Past sixty with a real dance floor you are into mains tops and a sub, which is small-festival territory rather than a villa week. The sizing table with actual models is on the speaker and PA page.
Exposure and how it packs
Salt air and a gangway make yacht charters their own category: nothing goes on a boat that one person cannot carry aboard. Beaches add sand and open air, where nothing reflects and the same speaker sounds thinner than it did in a room. House parties are the opposite problem — the walls do half the work and the neighbours do most of the deciding. Villa weeks sit in between and run longest, which is where the weekly rates start to matter.
Is anyone actually going to DJ?
If someone in the group mixes, a controller changes the night and earns its line on the invoice — DJ equipment rental covers what pairs with what. If the plan is a shared playlist off a phone, skip it and put the money into the speaker instead. And when two categories both fit — a Pag villa week built around club nights, say — pick the one that describes where the gear physically sits: Zrće week, not house parties.
