The Soundboks Gen 4 is the flagship — 126 dB SPL on battery, which is louder than most mains-powered PA tops. IP65, 40-hour battery, and TeamUp mesh networking that lets you link up to 5 units for proper stereo coverage across a yacht deck or beach.

This is the rental for serious yacht parties, beach gatherings, and anywhere a Bose battery speaker isn’t loud enough. Built like a brick and rated for it.

When something else is better

  • It has to be carried a long way, or lifted onto a tender single-handed — 16.1kg is manageable but not casual. The Soundboks Go is 9.2kg with the same IP65 rating and the same ~40-hour battery. It gives up SPL, not durability, which for a day on the water is usually the right trade.
  • Speeches, dinner, anything with a conversation in it — this is a speaker designed to be loud. The Bose S1 Pro+ is the one for a sunset deck, and it has a proper mic input.
  • Villa terrace with mains available — you’re paying for a battery you won’t use. Two Mackie Thump 215 tops in stereo will cover the space better than one very loud box.

What to run into it

The Denon Prime Go+ is the pairing that makes the whole thing make sense: a standalone DJ controller on its own ~4-hour battery into a speaker on its own 40-hour battery means a full DJ setup with no power source anywhere in the chain. That combination is the reason people book beach and anchor-out parties at all.

Common questions about Soundboks (Gen 4)

How long does the battery actually last?

8-12 hours at moderate volume on most models. Heavy bass + high volume drops that to 4-6 hours. The charger comes with every rental — plug it in during dinner and you have another night.

Can I use this on a yacht?

Yes — battery speakers are the yacht default. No mains power needed. Just keep it out of direct salt spray. The Bose S1 Pro+ is our salt-air-tolerant pick if you're choosing for a charter.

Does Bluetooth come included?

Every battery speaker we rent has Bluetooth pairing built-in. Pair from your phone like any speaker. AUX and XLR inputs are there too if you want wired.

What if it rains?

Weather-resistant, not waterproof. Light rain is fine for a few minutes. Heavy rain — cover it or move it indoors. We don't charge for splash damage; we do charge for water submersion.

How does delivery work?

Free pickup from our depot near Split. Doorstep van delivery is priced per zone: €100 in Split, €220 Šibenik, €260 Zadar, €360 Hvar (ferry both ways included), €440 Pag/Zrće, €520 Dubrovnik, €560 Istria. See /zones/ for the full breakdown.

How fast can you deliver?

Same-day in Split if you reserve before 11am. Other zones: 3-5 days lead time so we can route the van efficiently. Last-minute is doable but adds a rush fee.

What if I damage the gear?

Each rental has a refundable damage hold, charged with the rental and refunded once the gear is back and working. We charge actual repair or replacement cost — not flat penalties. Normal wear-and-tear isn't damage.

How do I pay?

Card via Stripe (Apple Pay / Google Pay too) or Revolut payment link. EUR pricing. VAT receipts on request. EU bank transfer available case-by-case for larger bookings — ask when you reserve.
