The XDJ-RX3 is the “real DJ rig without the laptop” pick. Plug a USB stick in, hit play. Or stream from Beatport / Tidal over WiFi. 10-inch touchscreen makes track selection actually pleasant.
This is what we’d send to a villa where the host wants a serious-looking DJ booth but nobody in the group is technical enough to deal with cables, drivers, or laptop overheating.
Book it with the Headliner Indio DJ booth if the point is that it looks like a real setup — a 9.3kg all-in-one on a scrim-fronted booth is the whole “Ibiza villa” photo in two rentals.
When something else is better
- There’s no mains where the booth goes — this one runs on AC, full stop. On a yacht at anchor or a beach setup, the Denon Prime Go+ is the standalone that runs about four hours off its own battery. Smaller 7-inch screen, two channels, but it plays where this cannot.
- Your DJ brings a laptop anyway — then you’re paying for a screen nobody will look at. The Pioneer DDJ-FLX10 gives four channels and dual USB-C for back-to-back sets instead, and the DDJ-1000 is the familiar four-channel Rekordbox layout most working DJs already know.
- It’s a casual night, not a production — this is the most expensive item in the DJ range. The DDJ-FLX6-GT covers a villa party perfectly well if someone in the group can open rekordbox.
