The booth is the upgrade that turns “controller on a kitchen table” into “real DJ booth your friends are taking photos of.” Folds flat in a car boot, sets up in under 5 minutes, white scrim by default with a black option included.
What goes on it, and around it
The booth is a frame and a scrim — it makes no sound and throws no light. It only makes sense on top of a controller booking:
- Pioneer XDJ-RX3 — the pairing that gets photographed. A standalone all-in-one behind a white scrim is the “Ibiza villa” look with nothing on show but the gear.
- Pioneer DDJ-FLX10 or the DDJ-REV7 — the setup for a booking with a real DJ. The 132 × 112 cm top takes either, and the cable clips hide the PSU and USB runs that otherwise trail across the terrace.
- Gravity SP 5212 speaker stands — worth thinking about at the same time. A proper booth with the speakers still sitting on the floor beside it undoes half the effect; stands put the tops at ear height and level with the booth.
- Pioneer HDJ-X5 headphones — the cheapest thing on this page, and the one people forget.
When to skip it
If the party is on a boat, or the “DJ” is one person with a phone and a DDJ-FLX2, a 16kg aluminium facade is more production than the night needs. It earns its place at villa weeks and Zrće houses, where it’s up for days rather than hours.
