Suncebeat 2026: not in Croatia
If you landed here looking for Suncebeat in Tisno — straight answer: it’s not there. After 14 years at The Garden Resort, Suncebeat moved to Portugal in 2024 and now runs as “Suncebeat New Horizons” in Costa da Caparica, about 10 km south of Lisbon. The 2026 edition is June 18-22 at Irmão (Place of Happiness), with afterparties at Praia da Sereia and a programme of boat parties on the Atlantic instead of the Adriatic.
The festival itself is intact — same crew around founder DJ Magic, same soulful-house / deep-house / disco / funk programming, same dedicated community that built it from a 2010 boutique offshoot of The Garden Festival into a fixture on the Croatian coast. They just took the show to a different beach.
Why mention this on a Croatian gear-rental site? Because Suncebeat’s Tisno crowd was a very specific demographic — mid-30s to 50s, deep music knowledge, came back year after year, often built their entire Croatia trip around it — and a lot of those people still want to do a Croatian villa week in July. They just need to know that the festival itself is no longer the anchor.
What replaces Suncebeat in Tisno for 2026
The Garden Resort, Tisno, is busier than ever in 2026 — the cycle is now four festivals, all on a different programming axis:
- Love International — July 8-14, 2026. House / disco / leftfield / balearic. Closest in spirit to Suncebeat, broader programming, ~5,000 people. If you used to do Suncebeat for the music-head crowd and the Garden vibe, Love is the obvious swap.
- Defected Croatia — July 29 - August 2, 2026. The 10th and FINAL edition (“One Last Dance”). UK / European house circuit, vocal house, Glitterbox boat parties. Bigger production, less leftfield than Suncebeat but the same Garden Resort and a lot of overlap with Suncebeat’s UK crowd.
- Dimensions Festival — August 27-31, 2026. Dimensions returned to The Garden in 2026 after a hiatus from Croatia. Deep techno / electro / dub / soundsystem culture. Different audience from Suncebeat (more 20s / 30s techno heads) but the same site.
- Plus various weekly weeks at The Garden that aren’t full festivals (week-long bookings, smaller residencies).
If you’re a returning Suncebeat regular, your easiest like-for-like swap is Love International, early July. Same site, same Barbarella’s late nights, same boat-party operation (Argonaughty II), comparable lineup philosophy.
If you’re still doing a Tisno villa week in late July
Plenty of Suncebeat alumni keep the date and just rent a villa anyway — the late-July window in Tisno is gorgeous regardless of what’s playing at the Olive Grove. The week between Love International’s runout (July 14) and Defected’s start (July 29) is actually the quietest week of summer at The Garden, and villas in Tisno / Murter / Pirovac are easier to book then.
Here’s what we’d send to a Suncebeat-style villa week — adults, music-led, less hype than the lads’ weeks:
The grown-up villa kit — group of 8-12:

Boat day on the Adriatic:
The Argonaughty II runs daily during Love International and Defected — if you want a private charter on the off-week, marinas in Tisno and Murter rent yachts and traditional gajeta sailboats by the day. For private boats:

If you actually want to go to Suncebeat 2026
The Portuguese edition (Costa da Caparica, June 18-22, 2026) is reportedly very good — the soulful-house community has followed it across. But it’s a different trip: Atlantic instead of Adriatic, a Lisbon city base instead of a Garden Resort, no Croatian villa week tied to it. We’re not in Portugal and we can’t help with gear there.
