Defected Croatia is Defected Records’ annual flagship — five days at The Garden Resort in Tisno (just south of Šibenik), late July. 2026 is the 10th and FINAL edition (“One Last Dance”), running July 29 - August 2 after nine years at The Garden. Smaller than Ultra (~5,000 attendees vs 150,000+), but the lineup is uncompromising: every Defected resident plus the cream of the UK / European house circuit. Sam Divine, Low Steppa, Roger Sanchez, CamelPhat, Honey Dijon, Boys Noize, Riva Starr have all been regulars; for the final edition, Defected has flagged debut sets from Jonas Blue, DJ EZ, Seth Troxler, Gerd Janson alongside return sets from Dennis Ferrer, Purple Disco Machine and other artists from the very first 2016 edition.
The festival splits across three settings: The Garden’s main outdoor stage (Olive Grove), the open-air boat parties (Argonaughty II runs daily 4-hour Glitterbox-affiliated sessions on the Adriatic), and Barbarella’s — the open-air club run by The Garden, properly proper. It’s a smaller, more dedicated crowd — UK house heads, vinyl fans, the “I take my house music seriously” demographic.
What gear works for a Defected week
Different crowd from Hideout. Different gear. The audience here actually mixes house music themselves — there’s a good chance someone in your group rents a DJ controller and runs a sunset villa set vs just plugging an iPhone.
Villa pre-game / chill day kit:
- Bose S1 Pro+ — €85/day. Battery PA, the workhorse. Smooth response for vocal house tracks.
- Pioneer DDJ-FLX4 — €65/day. Entry controller, runs rekordbox or Serato. Good enough for someone in the group to do a proper warm-up.
- Villa Sundowner package — €150/day. Above three items bundled. Great for the early-evening villa session before The Garden opens.
The serious villa party:
- JBL PartyBox 710 — €110/day. For the bigger pre-game (30+ people).
- 4× LED PAR uplight set — €95/day. The Garden’s lighting design is iconic — bring some of that home with a pre-game uplight setup.
- Sennheiser EW-D wireless — €75/day. Wireless mic for any villa announcements / toasts / impromptu sets.
Delivery to Tisno
Tisno sits between Split and Zadar on the Šibenik coast. Geographically it falls into our Zadar zone delivery area — see Zadar zone delivery for €130 doorstep van delivery covering Tisno, Murter, Pirovac, and surrounding villas. Lead time 3-5 days. Pickup from our Split depot stays free if you’re driving down.
Note: there’s a separate PRC-affiliated micro-site planned for Tisno specifically (tisnoaudio.com — not yet live). When that launches, Tisno bookings will route through that site for tighter local pricing. For now, book Tisno through this site.
Pre-Defected checklist
- Reserve 3+ weeks ahead. Late July is peak — Defected weekend overlaps the tail of Love International’s runout traffic and Ultra Europe Split groups recovering. Our Zadar / Tisno delivery slots book fast.

- The Garden vs villa nights. Most groups stay at villas in Tisno / Murter / Pirovac and taxi or walk to The Garden. The pre-game window 17:00-21:00 is when villa gear matters; the festival sound system covers 22:00 onward.
If you’re doing the Tisno triple (Love International + Defected + Suncebeat)
The Garden Resort hosts three back-to-back festivals across July — Love International (July 8-14, 2026), Defected (July 29 - Aug 2, the final edition), and Suncebeat (early August). Some groups do all three (very specific subculture but they exist). Reserve gear for each block separately; we re-rent between weeks.
After the 2026 Defected goodbye, the Tisno calendar will be a different shape from 2027 onward — worth grabbing this one while it runs.
