Sonus 2026: cancelled
If you landed here looking for Sonus 2026 dates and a villa pre-game kit — sorry, the festival isn’t running this year. Here’s the story.
In late 2025, Noa Beach Club and Noa Big Beach — two of the three core Zrće venues Sonus depended on — were demolished as part of a Croatian regulatory enforcement action over building permits and coastal land-use rights. Without those over-water stages, the organisers say the festival can’t deliver the experience that defined it. In January 2026, they announced Sonus would take 2026 off and return in 2027 at a new Croatian-coast location (not yet revealed).
Sonus’ team has been clear that Croatia remains the festival’s spiritual home and they’re not relocating abroad. They’ve recommended the new Night Horizon Festival (Zrće, August 16-21, 2026 at the redesigned LIFT Beach Club) as a same-week alternative — different brand, similar tech-house / techno focus.
What’s still running on Zrće and the Croatian coast this summer
If you’re already committed to a Pag-week trip and need a festival that’s actually on, the calendar still holds up:
- Hideout Festival — June 30 - July 3, 2026, Zrće Beach. UK house / UKG / D&B crowd, the Pag-season kick-off.
- Love International — July 8-14, 2026, The Garden Tisno. House / disco / leftfield, music-head crowd.
- Defected Croatia — July 29 - August 2, 2026, The Garden Tisno. The 10th and final edition of the Defected flagship.
- Ultra Europe — July 10-12, 2026, Park Mladeži, Split. Biggest EDM festival in Europe by attendance.
We’re still on Pag for 2026 — even without Sonus
The Sonus crowd typically rents villas in Novalja, Pag Town, and Lun for the festival week. Those villas are still there, the beach clubs that survived (Aquarius, Papaya, Kalypso, and the rebuilt LIFT) are still running their own daytime and night sessions through August, and we’re still delivering doorstep to every villa on Pag for €220 if you’re doing a Pag week regardless.
What we rent for a Pag villa week — Sonus or not:
- Bose S1 Pro+ — €85/day. Battery PA, plug-and-play. The default villa speaker.
- JBL PartyBox 710 — €110/day. Loudest battery we rent — handles a 30-50 person villa party.
- Pioneer DDJ-FLX4 — €65/day. Entry DJ controller for the villa warm-up.
- Zrće Pre-Drinks package — €100/day. The pre-bundled rooftop pre-game kit.
- 4× LED PAR uplight set — €95/day. Turn the villa terrace into a venue.
If you held tickets for Sonus 2026
You’ll already have heard from the organisers about refunds. We’ve left the 2027 dates blank because the new location and date haven’t been announced yet — when they are, we’ll update this page and confirm Pag-zone delivery rates for the new venue (still our home zone if it stays anywhere between Zadar and Šibenik).
For 2026 itself, if you’ve already booked the flights and the villa, our advice: keep the trip, swap the festival ticket for one of the calendar events above, and treat the villa as the main event. Half the Sonus charm was always the after-party at the villa anyway.
