The standard sub-add for any villa PA rig. RCF makes the sub that every Ibiza villa rental operator stocks — 15-inch active, 1400W peak, built-in DSP for crossover and EQ presets. Pair with the Mackie Thump 215 tops or any other 12/15-inch active rig.

Two-person carry (28kg). We deliver labelled XLR cables so the routing is “this cable goes here” with no guesswork.

What you need on your side

  • 1× mains outlet near where the sub sits (ideally floor level, centred)
  • Active top speakers to pair with — book the Mackie Thump 215 pair, which arrives with everything already matched, or bring your own
  • Something to get those tops off the floor. If your own speakers came without stands, the Gravity SP 5212 pair takes 50kg each on a 35mm pole up to 195cm — a sub on the floor with the tops beside it at knee height is the most common way this rig gets set up wrong

When to skip the sub

  • Speech, dinner or background music — a sub adds nothing to a toast and quite a lot to a noise complaint. Two tops are enough.
  • No mains, or a rig that has to be carried by one person — 28kg plus tops plus stands is a van job. A JBL EON ONE MK2 or a Soundboks Gen 4 gets you loud on battery with none of that.

Common questions about RCF SUB 705-AS MK3

Do I need a separate mixer?

Most include built-in mixing — DJ in + mic in is usually enough. Add an external mixer if you need multiple inputs (e.g. DJ + mic + iPad backup).

How loud does it actually get?

Plenty loud for 50-100 people in a villa garden, with headroom. For 200+ guests or open-water yacht parties, consider doubling up or adding a sub.

Do I need power on-site?

Yes — full PA systems are mains-powered. For battery-only events (yachts, remote beach spots), use the Bose S1 Pro+ or JBL EON ONE Compact instead.

How long does it take to set up?

Plug-and-play: 5-10 minutes. Plug speakers into power and the mixer, plug the DJ source into the mixer, hit power. We deliver it cabled and ready.

How does delivery work?

Free pickup from our depot near Split. Doorstep van delivery is priced per zone: €100 in Split, €220 Šibenik, €260 Zadar, €360 Hvar (ferry both ways included), €440 Pag/Zrće, €520 Dubrovnik, €560 Istria. See /zones/ for the full breakdown.

How fast can you deliver?

Same-day in Split if you reserve before 11am. Other zones: 3-5 days lead time so we can route the van efficiently. Last-minute is doable but adds a rush fee.

What if I damage the gear?

Each rental has a refundable damage hold, charged with the rental and refunded once the gear is back and working. We charge actual repair or replacement cost — not flat penalties. Normal wear-and-tear isn't damage.

How do I pay?

Card via Stripe (Apple Pay / Google Pay too) or Revolut payment link. EUR pricing. VAT receipts on request. EU bank transfer available case-by-case for larger bookings — ask when you reserve.
